Felix R. Matlock

Felix R. Matlock, Jr. is an experienced professional currently serving as the Regional Vice President of Resident Services at Mercy Housing Lakefront since October 2006, overseeing supportive housing services for nearly 10,000 residents across 52 properties with a budget exceeding $4 million. Previous roles include Adjunct Faculty Member at Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership from February 2007 to December 2015, teaching Master's-level courses in nonprofit leadership and human services. Felix founded and operated The Innovations Group from August 1993 to December 2010, providing consulting in organizational development. Additionally, Felix served as Associate Director of Program Services at the Chicago Christian Industrial League from March 1999 to 2006, managing programs for homeless individuals and families. Earlier experience includes the role of President/CEO at Aurora Family YMCA from January 1992 to August 1993. Felix is a doctoral candidate in Applied Management and Decision Sciences at Walden University and holds a Master's degree in Education Administration from Springfield College and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Tennessee State University.
