Kate Peterson

Kate Peterson is the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Mercy Housing. Kate has over 20 years of experience in business finance and residential development.

Kate began their career as a Business Finance Loan Officer at the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority in 1998. In this role, they were responsible for marketing and new business development efforts for the organization’s commercial loan products. Kate partnered with a wide range of traditional and non-traditional lenders, economic developers, and other stakeholders to help small businesses access capital needed to grow and expand.

In 2002, Kate took on the role of Manager of Residential Development at the Downtown Denver Partnership. In this role, they developed and led the residential program for downtown Denver and center city neighborhoods. Kate worked with community leaders to reduce barriers to development while identifying multi-family development opportunities to increase the supply of downtown residences.

Kate has been with Mercy Housing since 2006 and in their current role as SVP of Marketing & Communications, they lead all marketing, communications, and fundraising efforts for the organization. Under their leadership, Mercy Housing has become one of the nation’s leading affordable housing organizations with over 10,000 employees nationwide.

Kate Peterson has a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University.
