Susan Duffy, MHIIM, RHIA, CRCR has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Susan most recently worked as the Interim Director of Revenue Cycle at Mercy Iowa City. Prior to that, they were the Revenue Integrity Manager at the same organization. Before joining Mercy Iowa City, Susan worked as a Revenue Cycle Administrator at Rockledge Regional Medical Center for five years. Susan also has experience as an HIIM Manager at Wuesthoff Health System, where they oversaw HIM operations at two facilities and managed various projects related to electronic health records and document management. Susan started their career as a Film Library Supervisor at Radiology Regional Center, where they implemented digital mammography and reduced the staff through technological optimization.

Susan Duffy obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry and Mathematics, from Rhode Island College. Susan then pursued a Master of Health Informatics and Information Management from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Additionally, Susan obtained the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification from AHIMA in February 2020. Susan further obtained the HFMA's Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in October 2021. Lastly, they acquired the Certified Specialist Physician Practice Management certification from HFMA in June 2023.
