Gloria Mavhunga

Gloria Mavhunga has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Gloria currently works at MercyCare as a Case Manager in the Family Wellbeing Support Service, a role they started in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Case Manager in the Reconnect program at MercyCare from September 2021 to September 2022.

Before joining MercyCare, Gloria worked as an FDV (Family and Domestic Violence) Counsellor at Newman Women Shelter starting in May 2021. Gloria also gained experience as a Research Assistant at Curtin University from April 2021.

In 2020, Gloria had multiple roles at Mission Australia, including AOD (Alcohol and Other Drug) Case Manager from October 2020 to February 2021 and a Social Work Intern from August 2020 to November 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Social Work Intern at Newman Women's Shelter from February 2021 to May 2021.

Gloria's earlier work experience includes a role as a Youth Engagement Assistant Officer at SHIRE OF EAST PILBARA from April 2019 to January 2021. Gloria also gained experience as an Assistant Processing Officer at Registrar General Zimbabwe from July 2005 to March 2010.

Gloria Mavhunga completed their education in a chronological order. From 2011 to 2014, they attended the University of South Africa, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Science and Social Services, specializing in Applied Psychology for Professional Contexts. Following this, from 2019 to 2021, Gloria enrolled at Charles Sturt University and obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, focusing on the field of Social Work.
