Tanima S Banerjee

Tanima S Banerjee has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2022, they worked as the Head of Department at Mere Mentor and later became the Head of Certified Career Counselling program. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2022, they served as a Visiting Faculty at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi. In 2017, they held the position of Information Technology Project Coordinator at Plan International, where they supervised educational units and was involved in strategic development and implementation. In 2014, they worked as a Student Counselor at Higher Colleges of Technology and also served as an Adjunct Faculty at an education management company from 2005 to 2014. Additionally, they have worked as a Human Resources Business Analyst at aswaaq Retail LLC in 2014. In the past, they served as the Head of Department at GEMS Education from 2011 to 2012 and at American University of Sharjah from 2006 to 2008. Furthermore, they have experience as a Project Officer at SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action) in 2004 and as a Human Resource Coordinator at TelExcell Information Systems Ltd in 2003.

Tanima S Banerjee obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a specialization in Psychiatric/Medical Social Work from Banaras Hindu University, where they studied from 2000 to 2002. Tanima S then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychiatric-Medical Social Work from careers for youth in Varanasi, completing their studies between 2002 and 2006. Prior to their Ph.D., Tanima graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from Banaras Hindu University, studying from 1998 to 2000. In 2014, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic HRM from Westford School of Management in the UK.

Additionally, Tanima has obtained several certifications. In April 2015, they became a Licensed Certified Social Worker through the British Columbia College of Social Workers. In October 2014, they obtained BPS LEVEL A & B certification from The British Psychological Society. Tanima also holds the Professional in Human Resources - International (PHRi) certification from SHRM, which they obtained in January 2014.
