Salim Bensmail

Salim Bensmail is an experienced professional in urban resilience and finance, currently serving as the Executive Director and Head of The Urban Resilience Fund (TURF) at Meridiam since October 2021. Bensmail has been a member of the Financing Committee at Société du Grand Paris since January 2020 and held the role of Visiting Fellow of Practice at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford from January to December 2022. Prior positions include Group Managing Director of Strategy & Partnerships at John Laing and Managing Director at the French Treasury's Infrastructure Finance & PPP Unit. Bensmail has also chaired the OECD Network of Senior Infrastructure and PPP Officials and contributed to the European PPP Expertise Centre. Previous roles at the Mairie de Paris included Director for Economic Development and Deputy CFO for Public-Private Partnerships. Bensmail's educational background includes a Master's in Economics from the University of Cambridge, attendance at ENA - Ecole nationale d'administration, and studies at Sciences Po.
