Michelle NesSmith (Lee), LMHC, MCAP has extensive work experience in the field of mental health and counseling. Michelle is currently working as the Vice President of Wraparound Community Services North at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. Michelle also holds the role of Clinician at the same company, where they specialize in chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders therapy. Michelle previously worked as a Mental Health Professional-Therapist at Centurion Health. Prior to that, they served as a Therapist at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. Michelle has also worked for the Florida Department of Corrections as an Academic Teacher and a Human Service Counselor III, where they provided education and counseling services to inmates. Michelle has experience as a Family Care Counselor/Case Manager at Camelot Community Care, Inc., where they coordinated services for individuals and families in need. Michelle's experience also includes working as a Corporate Training Manager at Sitel, where they developed and implemented training programs. Michelle has served as the Director of Education at AMIKids, overseeing the educational division of a day treatment facility for at-risk youth. Michelle began their career as a Criminal Justice Training Coordinator at Lake City Community College, where they managed and administered law enforcement and correctional training programs. Michelle holds a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling and another Master's degree in Justice Administration and Crime Management. Michelle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Master's Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP).

Michelle NesSmith (Lee), LMHC, MCAP, holds a Master's degree in Clinical, Counseling, and Applied Psychology from Hodges University, which they obtained from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science in Justice Administration and Crime Management at Bellevue University from 2011 to 2014. Furthermore, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Justice Administration and Crime Management from the same institution, completing it in the period of 2010 to 2013.

In terms of additional certifications, Michelle obtained the MCAP Master Level Certified Addiction Professional certification from the Florida Certification Board in July 2021. Michelle also holds the LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) certification from the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy & Mental Health Counseling, which they acquired in November 2020.
