Shannon O'Malley

Shannon O'Malley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in member and client experience design. Currently serving as the Director of Member Experience Design at Meridian Credit Union since June 2024, Shannon previously held significant roles at BEworks from May 2016 to June 2024, including Head of Client Experience and Director of BEworks Academy. In these positions, Shannon was instrumental in translating business strategies into actionable plans and overseeing marketing and design teams. Shannon also led research projects as a Senior Associate at BEworks, and contributed to the field of cognitive psychology during two post-doctoral fellowships at McMaster Motion Simulator Lab and Université de Montreal, where research focused on reading processes. Shannon began an academic career as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Waterloo, teaching courses in research methods in memory, following the attainment of a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the same university in 2011.
