Head Of Renewable Construction at Meridian Energy

Christopher More has a diverse work experience in the energy industry.

From 1993 to 1996, they worked as an Operations Engineer at Electricity Corporation of New Zealand Ltd (ECNZ). Christopher then transitioned to the role of Investment Analyst at ECNZ from 1996 to 1999.

In 1999, Christopher became the Start-up Director and Energy Consultant at their own company, More Concepts Ltd, where they worked until 2004.

Christopher joined Meridian Energy in 2004 as the Pricing Strategy Manager, leading pricing strategies for all customer sales segments. Christopher also took on roles such as Portfolio & Market Development Manager (acting) and Product & Market Development Manager, where they contributed to the company's energy trading and portfolio management systems. Christopher was then appointed as the Renewable Options Manager, overseeing the development of wind generation projects.

In 2016, Christopher became the Wind Maintenance & Development Manager at Meridian Energy, responsible for managing wind farm operations and new developments. Christopher later became the Head of Renewable Construction in 2022, leading the team in the construction of new generation assets such as the Harapaki Wind Farm.

Christopher More completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE 1st Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Canterbury in the years 1990 to 1993.
