Product Development Engineer at Meridian Energy

Emily Adams has a diverse work experience in the engineering and artistic fields. Emily started their career at Methven Ltd in 2017 as a Product Development Intern, where they gained valuable experience in product development. Emily then joined Meridian Energy in 2018 as an Intern SCADA Engineer, where they supported projects related to the maintenance and improvement of Meridian's SCADA system. In 2019, Emily transitioned to the role of Graduate Automation Engineer at Meridian Energy, where they managed automation engineering projects for the Waitaki Valley hydropower scheme. Emily is currently working at Meridian Energy as a Product Development Engineer, utilizing their expertise in renewable energy to contribute to the generation of renewable electricity. In addition to their engineering roles, Emily also worked as a Freelance Concept Artist from 2020, showcasing their artistic skills.

Emily Adams completed their Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Mechatronic Engineering at the University of Canterbury from 2016 to 2019. In 2020, they attended a course titled "Introduction to Hydropower Engineering" at Hydropower Engineering Ltd. Additionally, in 2021, they obtained certifications in "Working from Heights and Confined Spaces" and "Elevated Working Platform Operation" from Vertical Horizonz. In 2023, they are scheduled to attend a multi-day course on "Electricity Market and Behaviour" at Whiteboard Energy.
