Nic Deller

Nic Deller has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Nic started their professional career as a Graduate Business Analyst at Transpower New Zealand in February 2013, where they worked until November 2014. Nic then transitioned to the role of a Market Operations Analyst at the same company, where they stayed until November 2015.

In December 2015, Nic took on the position of a Commercial Advisor at Transpower New Zealand, where they were responsible for various tasks, including cost-benefit analyses, business case writing and review, economic forecasting, and asset management framework design. Nic held this role until May 2017.

In 2018, Nic joined Alectra as an Analyst, where they worked until December of the same year. Their responsibilities during this time are not specified.

Nic returned to Transpower New Zealand in February 2019, this time in the role of a Senior Grid Investment Advisor. Nic was involved in internal business case development, economic analysis, market modelling, and regulatory submissions for transmission projects. Nic also led the development of the benefit-based charge under the Electricity Authority's transmission pricing methodology. Nic held this position until September 2021, when they were promoted to a Principal Pricing and Investment Advisor. As a Principal, they continued to provide pricing and investment advice while taking on additional responsibilities.

Nic's most recent work experience is as a Senior Portfolio Analyst at Meridian Energy, where they started in July 2023. Further details about this role have not been provided.

Nic Deller attended the University of Otago from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree with a major in Energy Management. In May 2023, Nic also obtained a certification in PLEXOS Power Core from Energy Exemplar.
