Philip Clark

Philip Clark has extensive experience in communications and marketing. Philip is currently serving as the Head of Communications at Meridian Energy since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Sport New Zealand where they held multiple roles including Strategic Communications Manager, Group Media Manager, and Manager, Communications from 2016 to 2021. Philip also worked as a Communications Manager at Federated Farmers from 2015 to 2016. Earlier in their career, Philip served as the Media & PR Manager for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Philip also worked as an Independent Consultant & Contractor at Philip Clark Communications from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, they held roles as a Marketing Consultant at Westfield in 2008 and Head of Marketing & Communications, Retail & Communities UK at Lend Lease from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of PR & Communications at Denton Wilde Sapte from 2005 to 2007. Philip began their career at SweeneyVesty where they held various positions including Group Account Director, Account Director, and Account Manager from 1998 to 2005.

Philip Clark earned a Master of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Canterbury, where they studied from 1992 to 1997.
