Tom Probert has extensive work experience in the marketing field. Tom is currently serving as the Head of Marketing at Meridian Energy since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Group Portfolio, Performance, and Proposition Lead at the same company from November 2020 to January 2023.
Before joining Meridian Energy, Tom held the position of Head of Marketing and Innovation at Powershop from October 2019 to January 2021. Tom also worked as the Head of Marketing at Contact Energy Ltd from February 2019 to October 2019.
From May 2016 to February 2019, Tom served as the Head of Sales and Marketing at Powershop NZ Ltd. Prior to that, they worked at British Gas as the Head of Marketing - Dyno from June 2013 to May 2016 and as the Propositions Manager - Energy from November 2011 to August 2013.
Tom also gained experience as a Scholar at The Marketing Academy from May 2014 to May 2015. Tom started their career at Colgate Palmolive, where they worked as an Assistant Brand Manager from October 2008 to June 2010.
Before joining Colgate Palmolive, Tom held various roles at Fonterra, including Regional Sales and Operations Manager - Fonterra Brands Tip Top Ltd from August 2007 to October 2008 and Assistant Brand Manager - Fonterra Brands Tip Top Ice Cream Ltd from November 2005 to August 2007.
Tom began their career as a Research Analyst - Marketing Performance at the University of Otago from February 2005 to October 2005.
Tom Probert attended the University of Otago from 2000 to 2005 where they obtained a Master's degree in Business (MBus) with a specialization in Marketing.
