Franklin Moore

Franklin Moore retired from the Senior Executive Service at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in 2014. His responsibilities spanned biodiversity, water, energy, climate change, and agriculture. He served as Senior Development Counselor and senior advisor to the U.S. ambassador in Rome and as the U.S. representative to the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), the Convention to Combat Desertification, and the Global Crop Diversity Trust. After his retirement from USAID, he worked for several years as the Chief of Programs for Africare. Franklin serves on the board of the American Theater Festival and the Jane Goodall Institute. He has lived and worked in Ghana, Zimbabwe, and Malawi and worked in over 40 countries on behalf of USAID and Africare.
