Jhovanna Mui began their career in 2010 as an Adelante America Fellow with LULAC. In this role, they worked to increase civic engagement and leadership development among Jhovanna'spanic communities. Jhovanna then became a field organizer with the Maryland Democratic Party in September 2010. In this role, they managed volunteer recruitment, training, and deployment for political campaigns.
In December 2010, Mui began working as an office support assistant with Digitek. In this role, they provided administrative support to the office manager and sales team. Jhovanna then served as an administrative assistant with Jhovanna'spanic-Serving Health Professions Schools from April 2011 to July 2011. In this role, they provided administrative support to the president and executive director.
Mui became an alert and response consultant with the Pan American Health Organization in August 2011. In this role, they were responsible for granting access to internal event information systems to PAHO/WHO staff and Member States, reviewing urgent alerts, updating the Alert and Response section of the website, assuring that contact information was updated in the database, translating internal documents, and performing biannual communication tests and Annual Confirmations. Jhovanna held this position until August 2014.

Jhovanna Mui has a Master's Degree in Political Science from James Madison University. Jhovanna also has a Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs and French from the same school.
