Shyamal Mahata

Shyamal Mahata leads the Research and Development and Quality Assurance departments at Merino Industries Ltd. for the Potato Flakes Plant and Pre-Basic Potato Seed Programme. Shyamal also oversees the technical aspects of Potato Flakes Manufacturing and QA Department while heading the team for the Pre-Basic Potato Seed Programme. Prior to this role, Shyamal served as the Head of Department at the Department of Biotechnology at St. Xavier's College. Shyamal holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Kagoshima University, Japan.
