Joe Anderson

Joseph Anderson is a seasoned professional in turf management with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Plant and Soil Science, specializing in Turfgrass Science from the University of Connecticut. Currently serving as Senior Assistant Superintendent at Merion Golf Club since March 2021, Joseph has also completed internships at TPC Sawgrass and Merion Golf Club. Prior research experience includes an independent study on soil fertility and nutrient deficiencies affecting golf course fairways and an independent study on turfgrass germination and characteristics. Joseph has held leadership roles such as President and Secretary of the UConn Turf Club and gained practical experience through various internships, including positions at the Club at Cordillera and the Country Club of Waterbury. Earlier work in park maintenance at Cheshire Parks and Recreation reflects a solid foundation in horticultural practices.
