Birkan Ozgur, MBA

Birkan Ozgur, MBA, has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Starting in 2003, Birkan began their career as an intern in the Sea Export Department at Arkas Holding, where they observed operations and assisted employees with daily tasks. Birkan then interned at Mars Logistics, where they gained experience in domestic operations, preparing shipping documents and monitoring truck fleet operations.

In 2005, Birkan interned in the Public Relations Department at TAV.

In 2007, they interned at TLS LOGISTICS, leading a group of interns in a project on Frigorific Transportation. Birkan also interviewed potential customers and identified market opportunities.

From 2007 to 2008, Birkan worked as an Operations Controller in the Distribution Department at Ucler Automotive Ltd. Inc., creating a web order option and managing a team of drivers and retailers.

In 2010, Birkan served as a Logistics Specialist in the Execution Department at Golden Grain S.A.L., preparing shipping documents, representing the company in tenders, and implementing checklists to reduce errors.

From 2012 to 2013, Birkan worked as a Student Assistant and Liaison in the International Student Services at Cleveland State University, assisting international students with immigration procedures and solving their problems.

In 2013, Birkan interned in the Operations Department at Merit Brass Company, planning and coordinating projects, analyzing Key Performance Indicators, and implementing Management for Daily Improvement Boards. Birkan later held various roles at Merit Brass, including Interim Receiving Supervisor, Warehouse Operations Analyst, Process Manager, and currently, Credit Manager. In these roles, they supervised accounts receivable, developed and designed documents, researched and proposed projects, and tracked customer rebate contracts and agreements.

Throughout their work experience, Birkan has consistently demonstrated their ability to take on responsibility, coordinate activities, and implement process improvements.

Birkan Ozgur, MBA, completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Operations and Supply Chain Management from Cleveland State University, where they studied from 2012 to 2014. Prior to this, they received their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Istanbul University's School of Transportation and Logistics, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. Birkan completed their high school education at Atasehir Anatolian High School from 1999 to 2002, however, the specific degree and field of study for this period are not mentioned.
