Ryan Sproule is the founder and CTO of Merit Systems, which they established in 2024 to create a new economy for open source software. Prior to founding Merit, Ryan served as Principal Research Engineer at Blockchain Capital, where they led engineering efforts and supported portfolio companies from 2021 to 2024. Ryan gained valuable experience as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services from 2019 to 2021, after an internship with Amazon in 2018. Ryan also has a background in freelance application development and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
