Karl Marks

Karl Marks is an experienced IT leader with a robust background in infrastructure management and technology integration, currently serving as Director of Information Technology Infrastructure at Meritage Homes since November 2020. Previously, Karl held significant roles including VP of Information Technology at Discovery Land Company, successfully overseeing major projects such as a $1M corporate headquarters technology implementation. With additional experience as Director of IT at CalAtlantic Homes, Karl achieved a successful migration to Office 365 for 1,650 users and significantly virtualized server environments. Earlier roles at Choice Hotels International and Republic Services Inc. showcased expertise in data center operations and large-scale IT integrations, respectively. Karl holds dual BA degrees in Economics and Modern Language from the Virginia Military Institute, complemented by a background as a Signals Intelligence Officer in the USAF.
