Sujatha Kumaraswamy

A seasoned and successful leader with 21 years of experience in incubating and running new businesses and functions in the Education, Assessment, IT Services, BPO and Financial Services Industries. Experience in managing global, large-scale teams in Service Strategy, Service Design, New Business Incubation, Business Operations and Transformation, Operational Excellence, Margin Optimization, Customer Experience, Governance, Risk Management and Compliance.

Previously Sujatha was leading New Business, Corporate Strategy and Operations as Vice President, Manipal Global Education Services, the EdTech arm of Manipal Group.

Sujatha leads multiple strategic imperatives across the group around Revenue Growth and Go-To-Market strategies, Product and Platform transformation, Sales Effectiveness, Cost Optimization and others.

She has also designed and drives a mandate of Business Excellence across units encompassing process and measurement system design, continual improvement, risk management and compliance and customer experience management.

With her passion and drive for diversity and inclusion initiatives, Sujatha, for the first timelaunched“Manipal Beyond Gender”, the Diversity Program focused on career growth and well-being of women at Manipal Global.

Prior to her current role, she worked with Cognizant for over nine years, across Infrastructure Services, Application Management, Digital Services, and Consulting business units and led many organization-wide initiatives in delivery excellence and margin optimization. She has also worked with General Electric, Wipro Technologies and Tech Mahindra.

Sujatha worked closely with the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to develop the ISO 20000 standard group and also publicize and increase awareness of the same across the industry.

She holds an MBA in Finance and Corporate Strategy from IIM, Bangalore and is a Cost Accountant. She is also a certified Master Black Belt and a graduate of GE’s prestigious Financial Management Program.
