Joe Orr is an experienced environmental analyst who has been providing environmental reviews with a focus on FERC-regulated Operations and Maintenance projects at Merjent since March 2020. Prior to this role, Joe served as a Biological Science Technician at the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, evaluating bird populations and habitat trends in Minnesota. Joe's early career includes positions as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Dakota State University, where research on breeding wetland bird populations was conducted, and as a Farmbill Wildlife Biologist with Pheasants Forever, delivering conservation programs. Additional experience includes work as a Biological Science Technician with the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center, an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Valley City State University, and an intern with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Joe holds a Master's degree in Range Science from North Dakota State University and a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Science - Biology from Valley City State University.
