Josh Petersen, PE has diverse work experience in the engineering field. Josh is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Merjent, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked for Dakota County as a Senior Water Resources Engineer from July 2011 to November 2022. Josh also served on the Board of Directors at Midwest Hydro Users Group from October 2016 to October 2021. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Engineer at Anderson Engineering from September 2010 to July 2011 and at Nilles Associates from April 2007 to September 2010.
Josh Petersen, PE obtained a Civil Engineering degree from Iowa State University, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Josh holds several additional certifications, including FERC-sponsored SQRA/L2RA Process and Guidelines (DLS-102) from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, obtained in July 2023, and an OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification from the OSHA Safety Training Institute, obtained in October 2020. Josh is also a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in multiple states, including Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, Virginia, Arkansas, Ohio, Oregon, and Idaho.
