Dr. Ekrem ARIKAN

Dr. Ekrem ARIKAN has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dr. Ekrem started their career at Microsoft in 1998 as a Customer Support Engineer and later moved on to become a Program Management Specialist and an International Program Manager. At Microsoft, they worked on localizing products according to local and global markets and collaborated with product development teams in Dublin and Redmond.

In 2005, they served in the Turkish Army during their military service. After completing their military duties, Dr. ARIKAN joined Ziraat Teknoloji A.Ş. in 2007, where they held various managerial positions including IT Architecture Manager, PMO Manager, CISO/IT Security Manager, and Director of Corporate Development.

In 2014, they joined Ziraat Hayat ve Emeklilik A.Ş. as a Group Manager, responsible for IT and Corporate Development. Dr. Ekrem then moved on to Enerji Piyasaları İşletme Anonim Şirketi in 2015, where they worked as a Director of Strategy Development.

In 2016, Dr. ARIKAN took on the role of CIO/Executive Vice President of Information Technologies at Takasbank - İstanbul Takas ve Saklama Bankası A.Ş. Dr. Ekrem held this position until 2019 when they became the CEO and Board Member of Merkezi Kayıt Kuruluşu A.Ş. (MKK).

Throughout their career, Dr. ARIKAN has gained extensive experience in strategy development, IT management, corporate development, and program management.

Dr. Ekrem ARIKAN holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University. Dr. Ekrem later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Yeditepe University. Dr. ARIKAN further enhanced their academic qualifications by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration and Management, General from İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi.
