Kevin then moved on to work at NSNL Technical Consultants as a Help Desk Manager/Systems Administrator. Following this, they worked at Abt Associates Inc as a Manager of Technical Services. Kevin continued their career at L-3 Communications and Apex CoVantage, both as an IT Manager. Currently, they hold the role of VP of IT & Security at Merlin International, where they have been since 2013.

Kevin Smith earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Managerial Economics from George Mason University in 1989. Kevin later obtained a Masters of Science Degree in Information Technology Project Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2008.
