Ian Richardson

Ian Richardson is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in senior finance roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as Senior Finance Business Partner at Merlin Entertainments since July 2017, Ian prepares and presents monthly business reviews and oversees trading calls. Previous positions include Financial Controller for Midway UK, where Ian managed a team through significant transitions, and Group Project Accountant, responsible for implementing the IFRS 16 leasing standard. Prior experience at BBC Worldwide included roles as Finance Manager and Group Financial Accountant, focusing on monthly reporting and statutory accounts for a significant revenue region. Ian also gained experience at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Le Rond Point, and Baker Tilly, where Ian specialized in audits and statutory accounts preparation. Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Leeds and qualified as an ACA in 2011.
