Kevin Burzio

Kevin Burzio is an experienced Information Security Engineer currently employed at Merlin International since September 2012. In this role, Kevin provides rapid response support for cybersecurity enclaves across various divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including NIH, FDA, and CMS, while also managing Trusted Internet Connection sites. Kevin’s expertise encompasses troubleshooting and configuring security appliances, overseeing infrastructure maintenance, and performing vulnerability remediation. Prior to this position, Kevin worked as a Network Engineer for the Naval Medical Logistics Command, focusing on IT security risk assessment for medical devices, and held network engineering roles at the Army Research Laboratory and Verizon Laboratories, where extensive testing of telecommunications products was conducted. Kevin holds a Master’s degree in Old Testament and a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Columbia International University, as well as an Associate degree in Music from Ferrum College.
