Martijn van Griensven

Martijn van Griensven is an experienced professional in the field of biomedical sciences, currently serving as vice-director at the MERLN Institute for Technology-Inspired Regenerative Medicine since February 2022. Additionally, Martijn holds the position of Chair of the Department cBITE at the same institute, a role undertaken since September 2019. Previously, Martijn was Head of Experimental Trauma Surgery at Technische Universität München from September 2011 to August 2019 and served as Co-director at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Clinical and Experimental Traumatology from February 2005 to September 2011. Early in the career, Martijn was Head of Experimental Trauma Surgery at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover from November 2002 to February 2005. Martijn van Griensven earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biomedical Sciences from Leiden University between 1992 and 1996.
