Mikel Alberdi

Mikel Alberdi has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Mikel is currently the SVP of Software Engineering at Merlyn Mind since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Microsoft as the Principal Group Engineering Manager in PowerBI from January 2021 to March 2022. Before joining Microsoft, Mikel held the position of Head of Software Engineering in Kindle, Explore, Alexa, Prime video, and Book depository at Amazon from December 2013 to December 2020. Mikel also worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at DAZN from September 2012 to December 2013. Mikel Alberdi's earlier experiences include roles such as Head of Department - Government & Enterprise at GMV from September 2010 to October 2011, Java EE Technical Project Manager at ALTEN from September 2007 to September 2010, J2EE Project Manager at Netsignia from June 2004 to September 2007, and Founder of Digital-Junk S.L., a pioneering Spanish company in mp3 and digital content distribution, from June 2003 to September 2005. Mikel began their career as an SDE at Telefonica, Indra, and Axpe Consulting from September 2000 to June 2004.

Mikel Alberdi completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea during the period of 1995 to 1998. They then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering from the same university from 1998 to 2000.
