Sam Swanson

Sam Swanson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sam is currently working as a Project Engineer at Merrick & Company since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Water Resource Engineer at Farmers Conservation Alliance (FCA) from August 2018 to June 2022.

Before joining FCA, Sam was an MS Candidate in Water Resources Engineering at Oregon State University from September 2016 to August 2018. Sam also served as a Consultant at NASA DEVELOP from September 2015 to April 2016, where they worked on projects related to predicting spring runoff and assessing satellite-derived snowpack estimates.

Sam's earlier experiences include working as a Field Technician at the University of California, Riverside for three months in 2015, where they conducted fieldwork studying evolutionary and ecological feedback interactions. Sam also worked as a Photographer at Picture This River Photography for a few months in 2013.

Furthermore, Sam's work experience includes being a Field Technician at Montana State University from November 2011 to May 2012, where they conducted research on elk eating habits and wrote a publication-style senior thesis based on the collected data.

Sam Swanson holds a Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering from Oregon State University, which was completed from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, Sam obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Montana State University-Bozeman between 2009 and 2013. During this time, Sam focused on Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, with an emphasis on Organismal Biology, and also pursued a minor in Statistics.
