Iris Shaker-Check

Iris Shaker-Check is a Pottery Coordinator at Merrick, Inc. since February 2024, focusing on teaching adults with disabilities to create ceramic vessels and sculptures. Previously, Iris served as an ADS Proctor at Dickinson College, where exam proctoring was provided for students with accommodations, and as a Wheelwork Teaching Assistant, guiding students in pottery techniques. Additional experience includes a role in Government Business Development at Battelle, where research on legislative opportunities and internal training materials was conducted, and serving as a CS Help Room Teaching Assistant, assisting students in computer science courses. Iris also worked as a Frontend Developer, collaborating on user-friendly web pages for farm-related data. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Art & Art History from Dickinson College, completed in 2023.
