Janet Syed

Janet Syed serves as the Director of Online Teaching and Learning at Merrimack College since December 2015, where responsibilities include leading the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning to enhance pedagogical strategies for over 500 faculty members. Previously, Janet founded OLK12, LLC, an educational consultancy aimed at addressing gaps in global education quality, and held the position of Instructional Designer and Team Lead for Business Programs at Southern New Hampshire University, focusing on the design of engaging online curricula. Janet's early career included teaching at Pittsfield Elementary School, where a dynamic curriculum was developed to foster student growth. Janet holds a Master’s degree in Education from Plymouth State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Music Theory from Rhode Island College.
