Merrimack Valley Robotics
Mike Johnston is a seasoned software systems engineer with extensive experience in systems engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Senior Software Systems Engineer at Evolv Technology since April 2023, Mike has also been the President of Merrimack Valley Robotics since January 2016, driving robotics and STEM initiatives for K-12 students in the Greater Lowell area. Previous experience includes positions as Systems Engineering Manager at Analog Devices and Linx Test Systems, as well as roles at Analog Devices as a Software Systems Engineer and at MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a Computer Operator/Test Director. Mike's educational background includes a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, along with an Associate of Science in Scientific Analysis Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.

Merrimack Valley Robotics, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established to promote STEM activities, primarily for students in grades K-12, within the Merrimack Valley / Greater Lowell area. As approved by Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Articles of Organization state: “The nature of the activities to be conducted and the purposed to be promoted or carried out by the Corporation shall be exclusively charitable, scientific, and educational within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as may be amended from time to time, or to any corresponding provision of any future Federal Tax Law, and shall include, but not be limited to the following: Promotion and facilitation of research and education in the subject of robotics and other related matters.” Those who wish to promote the interests and objectives of the Corporation and to assist in carrying out its purposes are encouraged to apply to be members of Merrimack Valley Robotics, Inc.
