Erik Svegne has extensive experience in IT and business analytics, currently serving as the Director of IT & Business Analytics and Controller at Merrimak Capital Company since July 2015. Previously, Erik held the position of Finance & Administration Officer at the Hong Kong Tourism Board from May 2010 to June 2015, and worked briefly at the Long Beach Golf Learning Center as Accounting & Administration, where Erik developed the accounting infrastructure and trained staff. Erik's early career included roles in sales and leasing at Glenn E. Thomas Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep during a challenging economic period and part-time positions in accounting and sales at Expert Stormarknad, a major retail entity in Sweden. Erik also served as a Platoon Leader in the Swedish Army, focusing on high-tech communications within an armored battalion. Academically, Erik earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration with Honors from Santa Monica College and completed the Natural Sciences Program at Tycho Braheskolan, emphasizing computer, math, and physics.
