Deborah Lee James

Deborah Lee James has a diverse work experience, with roles in various organizations. In 2019, they authored the book "Aim High: Chart Your Course and Find Success" which provides guidance for professional and personal success. Deborah has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors for companies such as Textron, Unisys, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Palantir Technologies, Noblis, and Systems & Technology Research. In addition, they have held leadership positions as the Chairwoman of the Defense Business Board at the United States Department of Defense and the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors at The PenFed Foundation. Furthermore, they have worked as an Executive Coach at The ExCo Group.

Deborah Lee James pursued their higher education in two esteemed institutions. From 1976 to 1979, they attended Duke University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (AB) degree in Comparative Area Studies. Following this, they attended Columbia | SIPA from 1979 to 1981, where they earned a Master of International Affairs (MIA) degree specializing in International Affairs.
