Michael Kaufman

Michael Kaufman is an experienced executive in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Chief Manufacturing Officer and Senior Vice President of CMC at Mersana Therapeutics since February 2016. Previously, Michael held the position of Vice President of Technical Development at Biogen Idec from July 2012 to February 2016, and before that, Vice President of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Millennium Pharmaceuticals from December 2002 to June 2012. Michael's career began at Merck, where a role as Sr Director of Pharmaceutical Research spanned from 1987 to 2002. Michael earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1979 to 1983.
