Richard Bedford

Richard Bedford has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial data analysis, currently serving as a GIS and Spatial Data Officer at Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council since April 2017. Prior to this role, Richard worked as a Spatial Analysis and Digital Media Officer at Cardiff University from August 2014 to April 2017 and as a GIS Analyst for the MOD from March 2004 to September 2012, where expertise in ArcGIS software was utilized to create tailored digital mapping products. Richard holds a Master’s degree in International Journalism from Cardiff University, a Foundation degree in Applied Computing with a focus on geography from Sheffield Hallam University, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Essex.
