Wendy Phua

Wendy Phua, PhD, currently serves as the Regional Medical Affairs Manager at Merz Aesthetics since July 2024. Prior to this role, Wendy was with Sysmex Asia Pacific from June 2021 to July 2024, where Wendy held positions as Senior Regional Scientific Affairs Liaison and Regional Scientific Affairs Liaison, focusing on brand strategy translation and collaboration with key opinion leaders. Wendy's earlier experience includes serving as a Research Scientist at MiRXES, leading a team in microRNA biomarker discovery and clinical project coordination, and as a Doctoral Researcher at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, where Wendy conducted original research on skeletal muscle and its metabolic functions. Additionally, Wendy was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Nanyang Technological University, instructing practical courses in molecular biology and biochemistry. Wendy earned a Ph.D. in Future Healthcare and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Nanyang Technological University, along with academic involvement at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
