Ullrich Munzel has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Ullrich started their career at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen as a Scientific Assistant and eventually became a Senior Scientific Assistant. In 2001, they joined Merz as a Project Biostatistician. Ullrich then moved to Meda in 2002 and held several positions such as Head of Biostatistics & Data Management, Head of Biostatistics & Information, Head of Statistics & Market Access, and Head of Corporate Clinical Affairs. In 2017, Munzel joined Mylan as the Head of Clinical Affairs Meda. Currently, they are employed at Merz Therapeutics as the Head of Global Clinical Biometrics and Head of Global Clinical Development.

Ullrich Munzel began their education at the University of Göttingen in 1988, where they pursued a Diploma in Mathematics. Ullrich completed this degree in 1994. From 2004 to 2008, Munzel attended the University of Göttingen once again to obtain a Venia legendi degree in Medical Biostatistics. Ullrich has since continued their education at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz without any specified end date, furthering their expertise in Medical Biostatistics.
