Michael Whitman

Michael Whitman is the current Chief Pilot at Mesa Airlines. Michael has been with the company since 1984, and has also held the position of Pilot/Checkairman. Prior to their current position, they were with Southern Cross Aviation from January 1999 to January 2005, where they worked as a Ferry Pilot. In this role, they were responsible for repositioning turbine aircraft around the world, including transatlantic and transpacific flights, as well as flights to Europe, Asia Pacific, and Russia. Michael has experience flying a variety of aircraft types, including the BE-90, BE-300/350, BE-1900, EMB-120, and CL-65.

Michael Whitman has a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Their manager is Jonathan G. Ornstein, Chairman & CEO. They work with Michael J. Lotz - President & Chief Financial Officer, Michael L. Ferverda - Senior Vice President, Regulatory and Special Projects, and Kevin J. Wilson - Vice President, Flight Operations.
