Doug Hinderliter has a diverse work experience in the engineering industry. Doug started their career in 1999 at Trostel Ltd as a Facilities Engineer in the Polymer Compounding Plant. In this role, they were responsible for managing the facilities and operations of the plant.

In 2006, Doug joined Mesabi Control Engineering and worked their way up within the company. Doug started as a Senior Control Engineer, where they developed industry-leading batch mixing control systems for the rubber mixing industry. Doug utilized Object-Oriented Programming concepts to ensure code consistency.

Doug then transitioned to the role of Engineering Manager, where they oversaw the engineering department and ensured the timely completion of projects. Doug then served as a Project Manager, where they identified project goals and created project plans to guide the team. Doug communicated with stakeholders, managed risks and issues, and monitored project progress.

Following that, Doug took on the position of Technical Sales Manager, focusing on translating complex technical information about batch mixing control systems to customers and clients. Doug demonstrated how their solutions could solve specific problems.

Currently, Doug is the Chief Executive Officer at Mesabi Control Engineering, a position they assumed in January 2021. In this role, they are in charge of leading the company and driving its overall strategic direction.
