Sam Jansen

Sam Jansen is a data analyst with several years of experience. Sam is currently working as a Lead Data Analyst at Mesh-AI since December 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Kainos from April 2020 to December 2022 as a Lead Data Analyst and from July 2018 to April 2020 as a Senior Data Analyst. Before joining Kainos, Sam worked at the US Embassy London as a Russian Current Affairs Analyst from July 2010 to June 2018.

Sam Jansen completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from Birkbeck, University of London, starting in 2015 and finishing in 2018. Prior to that, Sam obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Studies and Political Science from the University of Birmingham, studying from 2006 to 2010.

In addition to formal education, Sam Jansen has received several certifications. These include "Apache Spark (TM) SQL for Data Analysts" from Coursera, obtained in July 2022; "Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals Accreditation" from Databricks, obtained in June 2022; and "Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Essential Training" from LinkedIn, obtained in April 2021. Sam also completed various courses on Coursera, including "Applied Machine Learning in Python," "Applied Plotting, Charting & Data Representation in Python," "Introduction to Data Science in Python," "Data Visualization," "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," "Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark," "Machine Learning," "Parallel programming," "Functional Program Design in Scala," and "Functional Programming Principles in Scala." These courses were completed between 2017 and 2018.

Furthermore, Sam Jansen achieved "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2023, and "Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate" certification from Microsoft in July 2022.
