David Nirtaut

David Nirtaut has extensive work experience in the investment management industry. David currently serves as the Co-Chief Investment Officer and Senior Managing Director at Mesirow Investment Management, where they lead the Strategic Fixed Income team. In this role, they are responsible for business and investment strategy, including asset allocation and sector rotation. David also manages fixed income portfolios for institutional clients.

Before joining Mesirow, Nirtaut was the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager at Curve Asset Management. Prior to that, they held various roles at Legal & General Investment Management America (LGIMA), including Head of Fixed Income - Solutions, Co-Head of Fixed Income, Head of Portfolio Management, and Head of Securitized Assets & Interest Rates. In these positions, they were responsible for driving investment strategy, managing portfolios, and overseeing risk management.

Earlier in their career, Nirtaut worked at Deerfield Capital Management as a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, where they specialized in securitized asset investments. David also served as a Portfolio Manager at ING Capital Advisors, focusing on structured products.

Nirtaut began their career as an Associate and Credit Analyst at First Chicago Capital Markets, where they were involved in investment banking transactions.
