Erica Coward is an experienced school counselor and educator, currently serving in the Mesquite Independent School District since August 2012, where responsibilities include guiding fifth graders to reach their full potential across core subjects while fostering a safe and engaging learning environment. Prior to this role, Erica Coward taught sixth grade and worked as a substitute teacher for Rockwall ISD from October 2011 to March 2014. Erica Coward holds a Principal Certification from Lamar University obtained in 2020, a Master's degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Lamar University (2014-2016), and a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University-Commerce (2007-2012).
