Kristen DeRocha is an accomplished educator and entrepreneur with extensive experience in academic leadership and product development. Currently serving as Academic Dean at Mesquite Independent School District since July 2021, Kristen has various responsibilities, including student advocacy, accountability strategies, CCMR expertise, and master scheduling. Previously, as an Instructional Specialist, Kristen mentored teachers to enhance their professional growth. Kristen's background includes roles as a Physics Teacher and Instructional Coach at Dallas Independent School District, with expertise in instructional design aimed at increasing student engagement. Additionally, Kristen has owned and managed multiple businesses in the fashion and product development sectors, demonstrating proficiency in operations management and marketing. Education credentials include a Master's in Education from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Texas A&M University.
