Stefan Rummel

Stefan Rummel is the managing director at Messe München, overseeing all capital goods fairs including bauma, IFAT, Transport Logistic, Ceramitec, Expo Real worldwide. Stefan is further responsible for Messe München´s IT Departement, all international business and all global M&A activities. Prior to this role, Mr. Rummel served as the chief strategy officer and head of corporate development at Messe München.

In addition to their work at Messe München, Mr. Rummel is also a member of the board at Shanghai New International Expo Centre(SNIEC) and a member of the board of advisors at BVL - Bundesvereinigung Logistik. Stefan has also served as a member of the committee on external economic relations at IHK für München und Oberbayern and as managing director at MEPLAN GmbH.

Mr. Rummel began their career as an innovation consultant at Horváth & Partners Management Consultants before moving on to become a consultant and research assistant at Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship gGmbH. Stefan then spent 5 years as a product manager at Bertelsmann Music Group // Founder Newtalents.de AG.

Stefan Rummel has a background in business, management, marketing, and innovation. Stefan has a Master of Science from EBS Universität, and also studied at City University of New York, Stanford University, and Hochschule München. Additionally, they are a certified global negotiator from Universität St.Gallen.
