Erin M. Thompson

VP, Columbus Region at Messer

Erin began his career with Messer in 1997, before being hired full-time u​pon earning his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management in 1998 from the University of Cincinnati. Over the past 20 years, Erin provided leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects including health care and higher education facilities, corporate offices, aviation concourses, multi-family housing, government buildings, distribution centers, retail/entertainment, and parking garages. His most decorated project was the Surgical and Heart Center at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, earning both an Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) – Miami Valley Chapter Award of Excellence and an Associated General Contractors (AGC) Build Ohio Award in 2007. Erin added a second AGC Build Ohio Award in 2013 for the 77 North Front Street project in Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, he was instrumental in earning Messer a 2001 Build Kentucky Award for Newport on the Levee. ​

Erin is active in the community and serves on the board of the Boy Scouts of America Simon Kenton Council and is a past member of Charity Newsies. Previously, he served on the board of Rebuilding Together Central Ohio, and as a CSM curriculum committee member at The Ohio State University. Erin also continues to be involved on various Central Ohio AGC committees.
