William Decker is an experienced music coordinator and worship musician with a strong background in grant writing, editing, and journalism. Currently serving as the Music Coordinator at Messiah Lutheran Church since February 2019, William collaborates with the pastor to provide music for community worship. With a music career spanning from 1995 to the present, William plays piano for various services and events, encompassing both traditional and contemporary styles. William has also held roles in grant writing, notably as a Grants Officer at Journeys | The Road Home and as a Grant Writer in Training at CJE SeniorLife. William’s editorial experience includes significant positions such as Editor for Lutheran Partners and Editor of Publications with the Summer Institute of Linguistics. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in English from Bucknell University, a Master’s degree in Systematic Theology and International Mission from Luther Seminary, and a Master’s degree in Communications/Journalism from Wheaton Graduate School.
