Nicolas Lamoureux has extensive work experience in the luxury retail industry. Nicolas started their career as a Sales Clerk at Maroquinerie LE DOGE in 2005, where they gained knowledge in leather goods and luggage. Nicolas then worked as a Marketing & Sales Development Intern at Maroquinerie LE DOGE in 2007, where they focused on the retail store's leather goods and luggage brands.
In 2009, Nicolas had an internship as a Salesman at Celine, a luxury fashion house, where they assisted customers, managed stock, and provided after-sales service. Nicolas also deepened their understanding of Celine's products, including ready-to-wear, bags, and footwear.
Nicolas further expanded their retail experience with LVMH's Japan division in 2010 as a Marketing Executive - Export Mission Convention. In this role, they conducted interviews with employees from various department stores and luxury hotels to gain insights into Chinese tourists' shopping experiences.
From 2011 to 2018, Nicolas joined Boucheron, where they held two positions. First, as an International Merchandiser, they managed product merchandising for high-jewelry and timepieces, including in-store product selection and proposing offer management strategies. Later, they became the EMEA Retail Coordination Manager, responsible for supporting the development of turnover, following up on stores and individual action plans, and managing HR matters.
In 2018, Nicolas worked as a Retail Consultant - Luxury & Fashion at Cegid, where they provided consulting services for retail businesses in the luxury sector.
Most recently, Nicolas joined Messika Paris in 2019, initially as an International Retail Operations Manager. Nicolas managed retail operations in nine countries, including France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Spain, and the U.S. Nicolas has since been promoted to the role of Global Head of Retail Operations, where they oversee the entire retail operations of the company.
Nicolas Lamoureux has a diverse education history. In 2009 to 2012, they attended ISG Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris, France, where they obtained a Master's degree in Marketing. During their time there, they pursued a "Grande Ecole" Master program. In 2014 to 2015, Nicolas attended Institut National de Gemmologie, where they earned a Gemmology diploma, specializing in the classification of gemstones and gemology. Additionally, in 2011, they participated in a student exchange program at St. John's University in Manhattan, New York. In 2010, they also took part in two student exchange programs, one at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, and another at Temple University's Japan Campus in Tokyo.
Outside of their formal education, Nicolas has obtained several certifications. In 2023, they successfully completed the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC). In 2020, they received certifications from Avalara, including "Keep AvaTax up to date," "Reconcile and prepare to file," "Review and adjust transactions," "Understand the Returns timeline," "What you need to know about sales tax," and "Set up AvaTax."
