Brett A. Boon

Mr. Boon is a litigation attorney who also advises clients on various transactional matters. His expansive litigation practice focuses on real estate, environmental, and business disputes in both state and federal courts.

Mr. Boon represents individuals, commercial entities, business owners, and both on behalf of and in opposition to insurance companies. He has negotiated, litigated, and resolved a myriad of business disputes throughout California. He has also taken numerous cases through state and federal jury trials and works with his clients toward efficient resolutions whenever possible.

Mr. Boon’s environmental expertise includes a wide range of issues concerning the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and California State Superfund law, among others. He also advises clients on environmental due diligence relative to commercial property transactions.

Mr. Boon has also represented wrongfully convicted individuals seeking damages for law enforcement misconduct. These lengthy, complex civil rights matters have resulted in Brett’s clients recovering some of the most significant settlement awards of their kind.

Mr. Boon grew up in Mid-Michigan and then attended Arizona State University and Iona College as an undergraduate, playing quarterback at both institutions. He was a member of the Pac-10 All-Academic Team and recipient of the Sun Devil Scholar-Athlete Award while at Arizona State. Mr. Boon remains in close contact with many teammates, assisting them in various legal endeavors when called upon. Strong relationships are the foundation of his practice.

While at California Western School of Law, he was awarded the Distinguished Advocate Award for superb performance in a mock trial competition.
